Outline of project

• A prize for outstanding achievement in research on a global issue carried out at the United Nations University.
• Collaboration in disseminating the results of research carried out at the United Nations University.
• Research and investigation related to international affairs for world peace and welfare, as well as assistance and cooperation in such matters, and Other matters necessary for the achievement of the Foundation’s objectives.

The Foundation has been holding the Eisaku Sato Essay Contest, which was inaugurated in 1980, annually since 1990.

The Foundation has been contributing the Scholarly Books Fund to the United Nations University Library since 1995.
