This essay argues that, most of the contributions of international NGOs (INGO) arenot 100% accordance with basic objectives of United Nations. The International NGOsare increasingly interested in gaining attention from public and obtain huge funds anddonations. Moreover, even though some NGOs are really left some positive impacton poor people and development, recently NGOs are turning their organizations asbusiness organizations or as institutions of publicity and negotiations. This essay triesto identify areas, where INGOs are misleading the public as well as United Nationsin number of sectors. It also identifies areas, where international NGOs are making apositive progress especially in the areas such as conservation of the environment. Theessay took enough solid evidence to prove this fact. However, essay does not underminethe genuine efforts of few NGOs which are hidden, active and not focusing on gainingpublic attention and not recognized by any global bodies including United Nations. Themain contribution of any organization, at this context should be empowering the poorcitizens rather than only focusing on obtaining financial support. Moreover, it is hard tounderstand why many INGOs just interested in creating issues, and publicizing ratherthan seeking constructive solutions.892
