The Cold War led the armament competition between twosuperpowers. However, the condition has changed because of the collapse of theSoviet Union that left problematic states in the contemporary world. The UN sets upsome treaties and organizations, particularly the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Treaty,the Comprehensive Test-Ban-Treaty and International Atomic Energy Agency.These defined the UN permanent seat countries as having became‘nuclear weaponstates', it meant that the rest of the world would be non-nuclear weapon states butseveral problematic countries such as India, Pakistan and North Korea unratified andwithdrew the treaties. This showed new issue rises to impose threat in the globe thatfinally emerges nuclear weapon states.Clearly, the treaties and organizations seem to fail in their role through the somecountries took the action of the nuclear development. The important thing is thateven the UN cannot halt their nuclear programmes. The behavior of the problematicstates led to enhance the neighboring state's attention towards unstable security. Thatcirculation seems to get worse, so the assertion is that the UN needs to intervene andcooperate in their disarmament. Also, this essay suggests reforming the existenceorganizations and treaties.
