Yet, as eventsin Yugoslavia and Kosovo have made clear, the UnitedNations is seemingly unable to offer any tangible solutionsto prevent or resolve such conflicts. Essays should analysethe prevailing situation and discuss how the UN could mosteffectively intervene in future ethnic conflicts.758
