The feasibility team must sell the idea of immersing technology into core UNUprocesses and programs, not only to UNU administration, but must include all staff -making the implementation process as easy and enjoyable as possible. Showing usershow technology will assist them in their day to day, and long term, responsibilities.Composing the feasibility study team of a cross section of UNU departmentsand staff is vital, and will ensure its findings are cohesive and inclusive. The teamshould be composed of management and of staff. A stated above the team should becomposed of marketing, administrative, technical and publishing personnel to ensurethat each department’s interests and responsibilities are taken into consideration. Itgoes without saying, that each UNU Research and Training Centre should have aliaison or representative in close cooperation with the feasibility study team.Specific recommendations that the feasibility study team may consider would be:2.Using the Internet, UNU could implement a viable and low cost digitalcollaboration system to increase the participation of the international scholarlycommunity in UNU projects. Once realized, this collaboration system, wouldallow any authorized user to participate in online discussion groups covering aparticular topic such as peace & security, global governance, etc. Project leaderswould gain additional international scrutiny and critique.Almost all universities, of which UNU has the largest part of its academicrelationships with, have Internet access. Many companies are realizing costsavings and an increase of new ideas and collaboration, by implementing electroniccollaboration systems. Collaboration could be done in real time - with userscommunicating live, or in the form of ongoing dialogue about various topics - whereincomments would be posted to a centralized computer system, accessible to allauthorized participants at their leisure.
