Even though they may require many generationsof effort before they reach fruition, they deserve close inspection and consideration.Collectively, these seven letters represent an opportunity and challenge for the UnitedNations to become a global organization capable of enacting and sustaining globalharmony and integration. Whichever direction it takes, it is hoped that at the centeris a desire, patience, and dedication to transform our fragile planet into a world whereall inhabitants live in harmony and peace.164
